Akyapak, one of the leaders of the machinery sector, has carried out another first in its field. Akyapak, which produced the largest variable geometry cylinder bending machine of our country as a result of R&D work, also carried out its delivery.
Akyapak, one of the most prominent producers in Bursa and who exports to 98 countries in 5 continents with metal bending, punching, and cutting machines and welding solutions, continues to put its signature under firsts in the sector with its R&D work. Akyapak Chairman Levent Akyapak stated that they serve many different sectors from the domestic and foreign automotive industry to the defense industry and they are one of the most important producers in the field of sheet metal processing in the world, adding that "Most recently, we have been successful in hydraulic cylinders, which have a distinct place within our large product range. We produced the largest variable geometry cylinder bending machine of our country and also carried out its delivery. We have produced the AHV 880 model, which is preferred in the construction of silos to be used in concrete plants, specially in line with the demand from the customers." Levent Akyapak, who underlined that they describe their machines as being 'multi-faceted power', said:
“The AHV combines variable geometry design with power and production flexibility. The three rolls move independently of each other. The vertical movement of the upper roll and the independent horizontal movement of the side rolls provide the necessary geometrical position for various work pieces. For maximum bending, the mill can be opened symmetrically on both sides, while the mill can be positioned asymmetrically for a less straight end, allowing more accurate bending. With these basic features, AHV offers you flexibility in production. AHV 880 is the largest variable geometry cylinder machine produced in our country with 880 mm roll diameter and 144 mm twist."
'We develop products in line with the objectives of our business partners'
Levent Akyapak touched upon the sensitive points in cylinder bending machine selection, indicating that they have developed products to reach the targets of business partnerships for more than 50 years. Levent Akyapak, who warned that machine names and capacity sheets could be confusing and sometimes even misleading, said, "I would like to draw attention to the issue of capacity, especially pre-twisted or pre-untwisted. The pre-twist is a pre-process applied to reduce the amount of flatness at the end of the bent sheet. The pre-twist capacities are lower than the twist capacities because the pre-twist operation requires the highest power. Therefore, when checking out a cylinder bending machine with a 40 millimeter cylinder for the material thickness for example, you have to be aware of what it means." Levent Akyapak, who stated that the length of the straight ends changed from 1.5 to 3.5 times the thickness of the material, continued by saying:
"Width is also related to cylinder diameter, machine type, pour point, top roll diameter, and operator competence. All of these must be known for the exact machine preference, and the manufacturer must be informed in this regard with relevant documents and tables. As Akyapak, we also provide services to our customers as an experienced consultant at the same time.”
